The World Lies Still

When the last sun sets, the moon bright will appear.
The stars many will shine. The night will reign.

When the first moon rises, sorrow sadness will be king.
Emptiness despair will reign. Darkness surrounds.

When the first star twinkles, sunset disappears.
Hearts sink low, high hopes lost. Light is not real.

And when the last sun sets, running scared over
the horizon distant, the world lies still.
